Michael has an extensive and varied professional background
In business he held Chair, executive and non-executive directorship roles with several private companies including Tesco Plc, Money Supermarket, Howdens Joinery, House of Fraser and Inchcape.
He also held similar roles in leading companies in Australia, Dubai and Romania.
Additionally, he has experience of working in the public and charity sectors as a trustee of the Basic Skills Agency, the Low Pay Unit, the New Deal Task Force and as Chair of a large Multi Academy Trust. He is currently Chair of the Shannon Trust
Michael has a strong belief in the purpose and aspirations of Thrive Social Housing, and in helping people change their lives for the better so that they can integrate into society in a positive way. He is determined to help the organisation to achieve its aims.
